Hiking the Pyrenees:
- the Spanish Pyrenees outline itinerary
- the French Pyrenees outline itinerary

Stretching 270 miles from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea, the Pyrenees form a natural barrier between France and Spain.

The Pyrenees easily rival the splendour of the Alps, though they are wilder and more rugged with great glacial cirques and high lake basins on the French side and have the highest limestone mountain in Europe (Monte Perdido) and the spectacular canyon of Ordesa on the Spanish side.

This adventure links some of the most stunning scenery and walking in many of the French and Spanish
National Parks, including 2 World Heritage Sites:

the Ordesa Canyon, www.ordesa.net
the Cirque de Gavarnie, http://www.gavarnie.com
Aigues Tortes National Park, Spain.

Whether you prefer the French or the Spanish itinerary, in 12 days, this IS the best of the Pyrenees.

the famous Breche de Roland, the
border between France and Spain.

We are supported by our minibus so you only carry light day-packs for the hikes.

Carry a camera as many varieties of Orchids grow in abundance.

And we'll see ibex and eagles, and lammergeier and other vultures.

the Ordesa Canyon, a world heritage wilderness site.
